Procrastination

I think we can safely say that as a blogger, I stink!  I have always known that I think I can do more than I can do, but this is just about the worst that I have ever done.  I have good intentions but then I get side tracked.  My Ohio buddy Karen gave me a  little ceramic plaque that noted that I was a flop at cleaning because I kept getting distracted by all the really cool stuff that I kept finding.

We both agreed that it was funny but also very true.  I have so so many things that I am interested in, so many things that I want to learn to do, things I want to begin, experience, try etc.  Bottom line, I am a dabbler!  I have a reasonable disposable income, if I spend more than I should - I just hunker down at home for a week or two and then a new pot of money gets automatically deposited in my checking account and I am off and running again!

Case in point, at the quilt show last week end, I fell madly in love with Iris, a beautiful creamy green Featherweight from 1964.  Did I really need yet another sewing machine?  No.  Did I actively want it?  Yes!  Did I buy it?  Yes!  Do I need to hunker down and be good until the second Wednesday in the month?  Yes!!  lol!  Absolutely no regrets!  All I have to do is spend the next couple of weeks working on the twin quilts for Trent and Ryker and all will be resolved.

I am taking this quilt/idea and making two versions of it; one that features green and one that features blue.  These will be twin bed quilts for when they have bunk beds.  I am adding their names to them as a top row which will also make them just the right size.
